As you’ve probably heard, this Saturday is a national day of protest against the out-of-control Trump administration and the far-right agenda Republicans in Congress are pushing on the country despite overwhelming public opposition. While Donald Trump wastes millions of dollars on a military parade to celebrate his birthday, real Americans will take to the streets with one message: #NoKings.

In Denver, ProgressNow Colorado will be on hand collecting your stories. In just a few short months of the new administration, we’ve heard from thousands of Colorado residents who are angry and fearful about the direction of the country. From tariffs causing uncertainty for local small businesses to thousands of Coloradans who risk losing their health coverage and food assistance, we know that the pain is real.

That’s why we’ll be at the No Kings protest at the Colorado State Capitol this Saturday to record your stories about how the Trump administration’s destructive first few months in office have affected you. Look for our table with other community organizations on the west side of the Capitol in the early afternoon. We’ll share your stories with the media, elected officials, and other people just like you as we organize to hold Trump and his cronies accountable next year.

Thanks very much for being a part of this important day of action. Our freedom to stand up against extremism and hatred, even when it emanates from the party in power, is what makes America great.
