TAKE ACTION: The “We’re All Going To Die Act” goes back to Gabe Evans
A short while ago, the far-right majority in the U.S. Senate barely passed the disastrous Trump budget bill with Vice President JD Vance casting a tie-breaking vote. Three Republican Senators joined Colorado Sens. John Hickenlooper and Michael Bennet in opposition to this monstrous bill that will result in millions of Americans losing their health coverage, food assistance, and other essential public institutions we depend on.
Rep. Gabe Evans already betrayed Colorado by casting a deciding vote for the Trump budget bill when it passed the U.S. House. Since that time, thousands of Coloradans just like you have contacted Evans’ office begging him to see reason and vowing to hold Evans accountable.
The “We’re All Going To Die Act” is headed back to the House after the Senate added new provisions that made the bill even worse. This is Gabe Evans’ final chance to exercise the power voters narrowly gave him last year to do the right thing when it matters most. Call Rep. Evans’ Washington, D.C. office right now at (202) 225-5625 and urge him to vote against the bill when it comes back to the House for final approval.
At this point, we don’t expect Gabe Evans to do the right thing, and we’re gearing up for a campaign all the way through to November of 2026 to hold Evans accountable. Chip in today and we’ll make sure your disapproval cuts through the noise.
It’s difficult to watch the progress we’ve worked so hard on for years to expand access to healthcare be endangered for political points and tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans. It’s going to take years to undo the damage Trump and Gabe Evans are doing in just months.
But with your help, we will make sure the story doesn’t end here. We’re better than the mistakes leaders in Washington are making today, and soon we’ll have the chance to show the world what makes America great. Again. With some valuable lessons learned.
