Gabe Evans Cracks Jokes While The Economy Crumbles
"I liken it to a game of pool," Rep. Evans says about the future of the U.S. economy.
It's "Liberation Day" +1. Have you worked up the nerve to check your 401k yet?
The announcement yesterday by President Trump of massive tariffs imposed on dozens of allies and trading partners is tanking global markets today. After promising to "bring costs down on Day One," Trump has instead kicked off a global trade war that could hike inflation even more and devastate the American economy.
Last night, Rep. Gabe Evans' constituents demanded answers at a tele-townhall, because Evans refuses to hold an in-person event to face the voters over what's happening in Washington. Pressed about the effect of Trump's tariffs on the economy, Gabe Evans compared the economic future of America to a game of pool.
I liken it to a game of pool. You start off the game, the balls are all neatly racked, and then you, you break the rack. And it looks like the balls are going everywhere but then a good pool player is actually able to get the result that they want, um, as a result of being able to sink the balls in the different pockets. And so, I think that’s where we’re at right now...
Deep in the MAGA bubble in Washington, D.C., Rep. Gabe Evans is hopelessly out of touch with the needs and concerns of the voters who narrowly sent him to Washington. Comparing the global trade war Trump is starting at the expense of all Americans to a pool game is an insult to the working families of Evans' district.
MAKE GABE HEAR IT: Call Gabe Evans right now at (202) 225-5625 and tell him your future is not a game of pool, and voters will hold Evans accountable for the damage Trumps’s reckless actions do to the American economy.
